You know an equestrian photographer is incredible when he/she can capture THAT moment: the grateful look the rider expresses when they pat their horse after a great round, a horse's intense look of concentration as they seek the next jump in the course, the moment when the horse is gathering all their strength and using all their muscles to perform a dressage movement perfectly, or the pure love that shows in the eyes of a girl when she looks at her pony. I have seen these moments captured this year of myself, my horses, and my students.
Photographing horses and riders is no easy task. I have had many photographers try and fail to provide me with exactly what I was looking for in pictures. I've always wanted pictures that capture exactly what Valley View is all about: the excitement and enjoyment of riding, the friendships that are forged in the equestrian atmosphere, the connection that can happen between horse and rider, and most of all the pure love of horses. And I finally found someone who has the true talent I have been searching for, who did just that. I have been completely floored by the talent of Jennifer Norman and the photos that she has taken at Valley View. I am so incredibly grateful to her for providing me with photographical evidence that Valley View is making a difference in young girls and their horses' lives.
